Fun & Creativity
Art
Children learn to draw, paint, and do arts and crafts during Circle Time and Free Play Time. Teachers provide guidance and assistance as needed. The content of art activities are closely related to the subject of the song children are introduced to during the week. A specific art-and-music area is set up in the classroom, where art materials and music instruments are provided. The art activities done in the week is reported to the parents each Friday.
Music
Children learn songs / rhymes in Mandarin and English during the Circle Time. Each week a new song is introduced, and teachers sing songs with children. A specific art-and-music area is set up in the classroom, where art materials and music instruments are provided. The music activities are reported to the parents each Friday.
Movement
Children have the opportunities to dance with music and music instruments (such as tambourine and maraca) daily during the the Circle Time, and Free Play Time. Teachers dance with children in the classroom. Fine motor skills and gross motor skills are well developed with dancing and outside play activities.
Language
Children learn both English and Mandarin in our daycare during Indoor Work Time, Circle Time, and Free Play Time, by activities such as story-telling, reading, and singing. Abundant books and language cards in both English and Mandarin for children are prepared, and put on the book shelf according to the status/progress of children's learning.
Mathematics
Children learn numbers and shapes during Indoor Work Time and Free Play Time. Abundant books and materials for children learning mathematics are prepared, and put on the shelves according to the status/progress of children's learning.
Outside Play
Children go outside to play during the Recess Time in the morning and afternoon each day. We have scenic and spacious playground shaded by trees for children in the backyard. Children have enough space to run, jump, and play. Toys and facilities are provided for children to play with outdoors.
